San Diego's Original British Pub

Thirty-six years
on India Street

Opened in August 1990 and owned and run by British ex-pats ever since.

Inside it's old-world English Tudor — though with picture windows the old country never had — and a patio deck wraps the outside. Every dish is made from scratch in the British comfort-food style you'd find across the isles.

Our draught and bottled beers follow Britain, Ireland, mainland Europe and the U.S. — and we're one of the select few in San Diego with a beer engine, pulling a cask-conditioned real ale for the connoisseurs.

The Perfect Pint

Straight from St. James's Gate

Imported directly from Dublin and never rushed. Poured at a 45° tilt, left to surge and settle, then topped with a creamy domed head you could float a coin on.

The Beer Engine

Hand-pulled, not pushed

Real ale finishes fermenting in the cask it's served from, drawn by hand rather than pushed with gas. No fizz, cellar-cool, and gone in days.

Pub Grub

Best Fish & Chips
in the U.S.

Judged by the brewmaster and export director of Greene King, the UK's largest brewer — and cooked from scratch here every day since 1990.

A generous fillet of fresh Alaskan cod, traditionally battered or sautéed in garlic butter. Alongside it: shepherd's pie, three pot pies, curries, the Full Monty breakfast and a proper sticky toffee pudding.
