Home / The Bar
Seventeen taps, one beer engine, and a back bar that runs from Dublin to Islay by way of Leuven.
On the Pumps
Every draught pours in an imperial pint, an American pint or a half. Tap a clip to read about it.
Not sure? Take the sampler — four 5 oz glasses of anything on the wall, or the Irish: Harp, Guinness, Smithwick's and Kilkenny.

The Beer Engine
Cask-conditioned beer — real ale — finishes fermenting in the cask it's served from, and is drawn by hand through a beer engine rather than pushed with gas.
No fizz, cellar-cool, and it only keeps a few days once tapped. We're one of a handful of pubs in the city that pulls one, it changes often, and it's exclusive to the Shakespeare. Worth asking what's in the cask before you order anything else.

Wine
Every bottle on the list, half price, every Wednesday. The rest of the week it's by the glass — regular or large — or by the bottle.
Signature Drinks
A list that leans British, with a few from the films and the telly.
Coffee drinks are all made with freshly brewed coffee and topped with heavy cream — the After Eight, the London Fog, Terri's Chocolate Orange, the PBJ and a Hot Toddy when the fog rolls in.
